Canadian Tire – “A Decent place to work if you are looking for a summer job”

Pros

Depending on your supervisor, you can have a lot of independence while working. Our supervisor had a health problem which meant that we had a lot of independence in doing our jobs

Cons

The management at our Canadian Tire was not very good. They would overhire, overbuy merchandise and then tell us that we were underperforming in selling (even though we had stacks and stacks of merchandise)

Advice to Senior Management

Ask the grunts what they think is wrong. Sometimes their opinions might not mean much, but they have an eye on why some things are the way they are
