Canon Canada – “Good place to work if you lack creativity or self-innovation.”

Pros

- Access to latest technologies in digital imaging such as printers and cameras.
- Okay pay compared to industry
- Get to learn from very smart Japanese Expat who knows the Canadian market better than local Canadian managers

Cons

Management does not recognize star performer but rather those who puts up a best image. The ironic thing is the Japanese expat in the company are all very fine people to work with but the local non-japanese management is a total failure. I think they totally misrepresent the japanese culture where they totally neglect the "performance" aspect but rather focus 100% on image.

Advice to Senior Management

Ironically, Canon USA and Canon Japan has a totally different atmosphere and working condition than in Canada. Management really needs to learn from the competitors on how to keep employees to better compete.
