I worked at Cantor Fitzgerald full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

In the wake of the financial crisis, due to the poor economy Cantor was able to hire some phenomenal people from top companies that experienced financial distress (unfortunately most of these people have left due to low salaries and terrible corporate culture)

    Cons

No formal review process for bonuses and promotions (based solely on how CEO feels), extremely high turnover (every 2-3 years each department almost completely turns over either due to resignations or layoffs), no 401k match (???!?????), bitchy senior management (please handle your anger management issues)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    1. Learn the value of human capital. 2 Stop forcing HR personnel to write fake positive reviews on Glassdoor. One its extremely obvious. Two, its futile. You'd be a lot more productive if you valued your employees instead. 3 Learn the importance of managing the reputation of the firm. A company's reputation is often its most valuable intangible asset.

I have been working at Cantor Fitzgerald full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

For the finance professional with superior client relationships and market experience. Very entrepreneurial firm, flat structure and notable commission platform. Sales force have the ability to dictate what they get paid, if they are willing to put in the time. Fixed Income business is only 7-8 years old, and essentially feels like a start up in many regards – considerable room for growth and career advancement. This is a prestigious organization that has done fairly well during the crisis. When calling on customers, they instantly recognize the Cantor name, brand and longstanding history in finance.

    Cons

Very small, lean teams –little room for fat anywhere in the company.
