Cons

Very poor increment, worst variable payout strategy. Variable is give on yearly basis that to in next year quater only on condition that you should be not be on notice period.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on motivating Employee and distribute variable component on hf yearly or quaterly basis.

Capgemini work culture is OK. No recognition of Talents. Employees @ Client Location are not given proper appraisals.

    Pros

    Just good for learning opportunities.

    Cons

    1. Appraisal process and the appraisal given to employee should be inline with market standards and shouldn't waste the money in terms of branding through television shows; the same amount can be given to employees; this would ensure mouth to mouth publicity of the company. Very less salary hike and bonus. 2. Roles are not defined properly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management has to be impartial to the employees within the Organization and @ the Client Location. It is good for employees jumping from other companies. They get more than they want both salary wise as well as posiiton wise. Whereas, employees who put in a service of 5+ years are not recognised and their salary is not in line with market standards. Management should change their approach. Need to look at employee growth along with company's. It is not justified in the act of acquiring companies after companies every year without being employer friendly.

    Pros

Good if you are senior manager and a slacker.
Travel to exotic places like Aberdeen, Cardiff, Hull.
Work/life balance good. If you are lucky to get a client/project near home.
Some great people at the T1-T7 levels and C1-C4.
    Good brand
Good experience - on the job learning

    Cons

Poor to non existent training except in Capgemini processes, ways of working etc.
Salaries low and raises / promotions bad.
Dreadful senior managers and getting worse....
Lack of creativity, innovation and drive
    Internal competition and silos
People mysteriously disappear through no fault of their own with nothing much more than statutory pay - so beware if you are on the bench [they will come for you]
You never know where you will be stuck next. Get stuck in the wrong place and your career could suffer as a result.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get up to speed on what is going on in the industry and stop listening to the wrong people in their little boys club. They just want to look after their own backs and are the leading cause of stagnation, dead deals and bad ideas. Get out more and listen to clients.
