I worked at Capgemini full-time for less than a year

Pros

They pay well and you don' t have to do much, if any work at all. They over staff on their projects as many of their people are outright incompetent.

Cons

They have terrible unstructured solutions for their clients. They attempt to do as little as possible to accomplish the job.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to review your employees for competence and impose for structure for engagements.

    Pros

    Employee Friendly
Greater rewards in consulting and technology services
Company sincerely trying for change for better

    Cons

Project based assignments, no bench time
Unable to recognize and reward good performance
Performance evaluation process good but the control mechanizm to enforce proper evaulation is missing
    Promotions are hard to get

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Top leadership shows evidences that it wants to listen to employees and make appropriate changes, but the local leaders don't listen as much, they don't apply corporate ethics as much ---- they know there is really no one who can ask them for explanation. Company is trying to implement lots of good changes but the leaders who can really make those changes benefit the organization are not doing their part properly.

I have been working at Capgemini full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

good people to work with. The projects can be interesting. The clients can be good to work with. Overall, satisfaction depends on the project you are on.

    Cons

A lot of travel. On your own with learning on the job. Not all project managers are good at mitigating work/life balance with the client.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on making sure that project managers get all the help they need. Make sure there is training for every career path, not just the main ones.
