Pros

I can honestly say that the jerk factor here is very low. It is a good place to work, people wise.

Cons

The processes and systems that need to be followed and used can be somewhat draconian and dated. It seems that a lot of policy is not reviewed annually and updated reasonably

    Pros

At capgemini we get good opportunity to learn new things.

    Cons

    lower salary than market standards

    Advice to Management

Salary should be based on individual performance and should not be measured in KPIs.

hi, variable compensation (aka "annual bonus") is measured in KPIs; however salary is determined by factors like consulting level, relative cost of living, project pricing, etc.

  2. Financial services business unit (fsgbu) is awful!

    Pros

    Good learning and culture department

    Cons

FSGBU which was perhaps one of the best places to work for as a small firm Kanbay, has seen an exponential decline in its culture, people and organization fundamentals. The senior management has no long term vision and most of them are around to simply make a quick buck and leave the organization. some major cons are - complete lack of respect for associates, low pay, lots of mergers with smaller companies but complete lack of integration of work cultures, fsgbu india treated as sweat shop, bureaucratic, pathetic support functions (hr, it, facilities)

    Advice to Management

Learn to respect your associates and address their concerns rather than wishing them away. You cannot effectively service clients and live up to your flawed motto people matter, results count unless you nurture talent.
