Current Employee - Senior Consultant in Bangalore (India)
Current Employee - Senior Consultant in Bangalore (India)

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

1. No firing or termination 2. Flexible work hours 3. Good working environment

Cons

1. Good amount of politics within team; anyway, that company cannot help 2. You grow only if you have a good rapport with your manager, even though how much how much better performer you are.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Here, atleast in some teams, the appraisal is happening looking at your face. The Appraisal process is only a formality there. Ahead of the appraisal process itself, N's rating might have fixed. Please take an action to control this.

Former Employee - Consultant in Bangalore (India)

I worked at Capgemini full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    - Not aware of any. Was placed @ local client's location from day 1. Went to office only 3 times during final settlement.

    Cons

    Many...
I found below cons while working in LBS. NOT sure/ NO comments about other pools/unit.
    - Once you join LBS, you will be placed @ local client location until project is completed or you resign.
    - Impossible to get release from the project or change the pool.
    - I have seen some managers with very bad communication skills. God knows how they manage with customers.
    - You will be asked to work on weekends and holidays. Manger will promise to compensate it with comp offs(day off). But when time comes to avail it, you will neither be allowed to take comp off (day off) nor financially compensated for balance comp offs.
I have seen many colleagues with 20 + comp offs and no way to compensate it.
    - It is useless talking your concerns with manager or HRs. they simply do not care.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
