Capital Group – “Good company, but dramatically different in light of hard economic times.”

Pros

The people here are intelligent, talented and diverse. I am always surprised at how helpful 99.9% the people are. The benefits are excellent and I think that Capital Group is a highly regarded company. I have always had open and productive relationships with all co-workers, including my managers.

Cons

In reaction to the recession, Capital has dramatically cut costs - including many employees. I think that the "old guard" at Capital valued the individual and quality of work. The "new guard"il about the bottom line and doing more with less. The majority (if not all) co-workers that I have spoken to feel that Capital is a very different company now than it has ever been (and not in a good way).

Advice to Senior Management

Respect your employees' assessment of the time it take to produce quality work, and pay people what they're worth.
