I have been working at Capital One full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Interesting work and approach. Very strong bent toward strategic planning. Lots of ability to contribute to discussions and have your voice heard.

    Cons

Change their mind and org structure all the time. No solid ground to stand on. Frequently reorg so that owners of poor strategies are no longer in place to be held accountable when a project doesn't succeed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A great strategy does no good without actually implementing it.

I have been working at Capital One full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, generous vacation policy, beautiful campus, nice amenities, lots of training opportunities.

    Cons

Performance management is more of a popularity contest. If you are someone who just quietly does a good job it is unlikely you will ever get promoted.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Re-evaluate the folks you have in place as people managers more often. Request more feedback for direct reports of people managers.
