Capital One – “Limited room for growth, behind the times on project management”
1 of 1 people found this helpfulPros
1) Very employee friendly
2) Flexible on work-life balance
3) Good, knowledgable people to work with
4) Lots of opportunity for improvement
Cons
1) Behind the times in project management (utilizing Agile style, rather then DMAIC, DFSS, Lean, etc)
2) Lack of communication, which causes disconnects and risk within and cross project
3) Resists change, does not want to consider other types of methodologies
Advice to Senior Management
1) Need to drive process improvement top down through methodologies like DMAIC, Lean, etc.
2) Need senior, mid-level management and associates to be green belt certified by doing their own projects throught a DMAIC, Lean, etc methodologies
3) Have becoming a green belt, black belt or master black belt a part of promotion, for performance reviews, etc.
There is SO MUCH opportunity to improve processes, if all the workforce has a working knowledge of these methodologies you will have a workforce always improving processes.
