Capmark – “Great place to work prior to acquisition and subsequent bankruptcy”

Pros

Good people and a congenial atmosphere most of my time there. After it became Capmark, the culture became a bit more slanted only towards the bottom line with out the focus on work/life balance.

Cons

Post bankruptcy, as expected perhaps, the culture went down hill. Communication from senior management was often a bit vague. Employees felt like pawns and most remaining employees were just doing time or temps.

Advice to Senior Management

There should be more honest communication to employees. We know the goal is to be profitable, but this does not have to be done in a mercenary way.
