    Hopefully businesses like this will be out of business soon.

    Cons

    Just had someone call me up out of the blue from Capstone Financial and took some notes. Caller introduced herself and immediately launched into a sales pitch about the company straight to comp without taking a breath or allowing for a comment.

    - 5k a month "bonus" for the first 3 months
    - medical, dental life insurance pay 50% premiums
    - "CEO" will be on site to interview
    - Come down to interview on site asap
    - 22 month mentoring / training support
    - 40% c omission rate
    - "Creative environment in outside sales"
    - 3 stages of interviews
    - bonuses are not a draw

    Requirements:
    - Pay for Series 7 licensing for health, life and disability out of pocket

    The summary:
    A 100% commission position where if you have a pulse and pay for licensing you are hired. You will compete with everyone in unsecured territories with a 100% cold calling environment with all of your own leads generated. There is no base pay and I highly doubt any insurance benefits are competitive.

    As a public service announcement please let companies like this fail. Don't support the nonsense 100% commission positions. Let these business models die. Businesses like this experience an incredibly high turn-over rate. Be my guest, drink the koolaid.

    If someone sells a position, RUN!

    Advice to Management

    Pay peanuts get monkeys. Pay nothing get nothing. Invest in success and it will come.

    You may as well charge people to join the company while you are at it. Maybe sell them presentations books or software to invest in their success.
