Great potential to change healthcare, but "Green" executive team is always changing priorities.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Caradigm full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Big names (GE Healthcare and Microsoft) that have huge potential to change healthcare Solid technology stack (MS SQL Server, .NET 4.5, SharePoint) that creates a great platform Best benefits I have ever had (no co-pay health insurance option or employer paid HSA option)

    Cons

Keep shifting priorities. Lots of "musical chairs" type re-organizations as the company finds it's feet. Lots of attrition, difficulty finding good talent to replace people that left to stay at GE/Microsoft Focus on "Cloud" based computing for dev/test cycles is slower compared to local labs/workstations

    Advice to Management

Stop changing priorities every 3 months. Listen to local managers at each site. Try to limit political battles that are splitting the company into factions

Disappointing company that could have been great

    Negative Outlook

    I worked at Caradigm full-time

    Pros

Excellent benefits Good industry to be in

    Cons

Upper management seems to make decisions on a whim - what products to make, reorgs, etc. Maybe they plan it, but they make sure no one underneath knows what the plans are until they're being told to change everything. Long term vision and goals are severely lacking. Everything is about surviving the moment. Felt like a sinking ship.
