    Pros

    Decent compensation and benefits. One of the few employers in metro atlanta located in the suburbs with much better traffic than average.

    Cons

    Used to be a place that felt like a family. The new leadership put in place several years back was the beginning of the end. Sr. management is concerned with what is best for the individual and not the best for the team/company as a whole.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Better communication among divisions, departments and all levels of employment. Do the right thing and strive to retain the best people.

    I worked at Caraustar full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Worked with caraustar for five years in various plants.Good benefits and somewhat decent pay. If you work your hard you can reach top pay fairly quickly. Coworkers are pretty cool and laid back for the most part.

    Cons

    Management makes you feel like you can move up In the chain but that rarely happens. Once topped out on pay your stuck there until it is time for cost of living raise, which is not even worth the struggle and dedication you put into the company. Management seems they do not really understand nor care what your daily struggle is on the particular machine your running nor do they try to fix the problem they just keep beating you down wanting improvement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Listen to your employees and get off your high horses. Have some kind of incentive plan to make employees want to care and work harder. Dont make it impossible for employees to get the production you expect. Lastly understand the processes before jumping to conclusions.
