- conservative banking culture ensures good management and sound practices
- small size allows customers direct access to decision makers
Cons – - employees could be managed better: more back office support, better performance review processes
- decisions are often based on who you know
- conservative nature can be arbitrary
Advice to Senior Management – Offer benefits that would cost the company little such as flextime; institute more formalized performance review process; hire more assistants and back office support; reduce workloads on key individuals (and reduce risk of those individuals leaving). Reinvest profits into website upgrades and increased compensation.
