I have been working at Cardinal Health full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Cardinal Health is a Fortune 500 company. It is large enough to slide into different positions within the company if you are flexible to move throughout the US.

    Cons

High levels of politics. You have to continually ask for what you want in order to be set on the right path. Career development is up to you, and managerial and HR support is lacking. "Fast track" candidates have kissed up to the righ people, not demonstrated accumen and capabilities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Build concrete career development plans for employees. Make those plans available to persons below director level positions.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Cardinal Health full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    No weekends, pleasant working environment.

    Cons

Punitive attitude towards genuine sick days and emergency time off. Uncertainty in Pharmaceutical Customer Service Dept, and lack of being forthright with employees regarding their future regarding this matter.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be forthright with employees that are hanging. Are you going to keep them or not? Feels like being used as long as needed, with probable layoff ahead due to losing Walgreens to Bergen.
