Pros

Most of the management and Executive staff are smart and effective. They support quick and creative thinking. Company has a great focus on developing employees.

Cons

As of July 2012, the company is toxic, constant lay offs they call Process Improvements and "right sizeing the business". We are told no "lay offs" yet they continue.
As a result, departments and employees are keeping knowledge close to themselves. They are making processes more complicated in order to prove their value. and LESS business is getting done.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Right Size the business in one fell swoop, and let us get back to the business of DOING business. Its nearly imposable to work in an environment where every day you wonder "will it be today". Makes it nerve wracking and very hard to present the company in a positive light to our customers.

    Pros

Products increase value in delivering high quality patient care and reduce hospital errors.

    Cons

Slow to release fixes for product issues. Lack of innovation, no focus on employee development.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Directors and an up should have proven experiences in developing individuals at all levels from staff to supervisors to managers. Stop placing Directors with no experience. Operate within the culture and support core values.

    Pros

Company contributions to 401K & MIP bonus plan

    Cons

Terrible place to work. Layoffs come without much notice and occurs sometime multiple times a year, Management treats emploees like pieces on a chess board. I have worked for many companies & Carefusion was the worse.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean house. Many of the managers there were promoted from within. Normally this is not bad if there's management training. Carefusion does not train their managers to be managers. Many of them learn the bad way on the job often resorting to playground politics.
