Good people toward making a difference for patients and hospitals who need it.

I have been working at CareFusion full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

great health benefits, above average salary, engaged management and leadership team, great products with good market share.

    Cons

Young company, still makes some decisions that are not lin line with a more mature business model. A bit top heavy with VP's reporting to other VP's

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the M & A, stay liquid to avoid takeover, and keep HQ in San Diego.

I have been working at CareFusion full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Some good people who care. Work from home.

    Cons

Work life balance is poor. No real ability to make decisions. Poor training. SAP stinks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trash SAP....now! It is only capable of providing mediocre data and you are using that poor data to make decision about who stays and who goes for your yearly layoffs. Clean out some of the VP positions and pump that money back into the worker bees in the field. They love what they do but will not be able to sustain at the current rate of increase. Help them feel like they truly are a "life changer".

Kieren's line about career development...basically you're on your own for that. We don't have that type of culture. What a joke! Why would any CEO tell his company that we have no interest in helping you grow and succeed? The message the employees heard was that none of us matter. Why make that statement? Easy answer, we're all expendable during the yearly (and I suspect soon to be twice yearly) RIF.
