Current Employee – been working at CareerBuilder
Pros – If you hit your goals, you are well-compensated. For people who perform and legitimately work hard they are 'eventually' recognized and awarded fairly.
Cons – Office politics and leaders who are in the wrong position and have been for too long
Advice to Senior Management – Address your talent management; Ignore direct managers who have been in their role too long to recognize talent and not those who fit into their pre-designed mold. There are too many people sitting in the wrong seat. It's de-motivating to individual and hard-working reps. Shift around leaders to non-leader roles so that they do not lose sight of both sides of the spectrum. I feel that there are a lot of 'leaders' who add little value and then there are those who are constantly striving to resist complacency. It would be great if that was appreciated by upper management more often that some are not just trying to 'fly under the radar' in their jobs and somehow have everyone fooled. It's frustrating from the rep side to see that never change.
