Pros

Good salary and benefits, good local management

Cons

Ranking process needs updated. Too many people afraid of losing their jobs so teamwork suffers.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

The CEO is only as good as his upper management. They need overhauled. I don't think Kevin Hobert knows what really goes on.

    Pros

    Great long time, seasoned co-workers. Great loyal customers. Expert developers and engineers.

    Cons

    Management, management, management. My (and many others) opinion is that the shifting of management and bringing in new management destroyed what could have been an empire.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Take a course or two from the excellent employees you have left. They should have been the management.

    I worked at Carestream Health as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

    You can work from home eventually but training is in a classroom setting.

    Cons

    Very restrictive about how to help customers with their problems. Leadership structure is very misaligned. Accepting responsibility is beyond this company, communication is nonexistent, and the employee is always wrong. Remember the "open door policy" is a one way door with an exit marked by only your name.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    You should really recognize an employee's talents and reconsider how you approach helping customers. Major software and hardware providers to consumers of all technical backgrounds and requirements do a better job of engaging and fulfilling a customer's needs than this company does for businesses. To change that, why not test the market on another platform to re-engage customers? You should really judge a person by the quality and content of their ideas, empathy in meeting the needs of coworkers, and dedication to the job as well as customers. Instead of refuting try understanding.
