I have been working at Cargill full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Guaranteed 36 hours of work per week, Good insurance, are able to cover domestic partners on the insurance, have health, dental, and eye insurance

Cons

Sometimes have to start two hours early on Monday's, some departments are only guaranteed 24 hours, insurance deductibles are outrageous, if you do not have Cargill insurance, you can not participate in their well-being check ups, some departments work ten hours frequently and do not get overtime until they have worked forty hours, starting in the fall until after New Years Eve, they work every Saturday

I worked at Cargill as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

They subsidized rent for internship, get to live in Minneapolis, Decent compensation

    Cons

Had to fight HR for fair compensation for internship, No intern activities scheduled by Cargill, The whole internship seemed off the cuff and was poorly planned. There seemed to be no real communication between HR and management. They attract poor talent. We were mislead on multiple occasions and the projects overall seemed incredibly worthless to the company.

    Advice to Management

Revamp your internship if you hope to attract top talent in the future.

  2. A great learning experience for entry level sales, very high rated training and mentorship programs

I worked at Cargill full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Training and experience. Great health and retirement benefits

    Cons

low base pay, low incentive pay (that changes like the seasons). Little to no career advancement.

    Advice to Management

Focus on R&D, filling the pipeline with new technology and more industry involvement. Increased marketing would be a tremendous asset
