I have been working at Caribou Coffee full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Some great people as peers and employees. Fun environment. Really great product. Good practices where the product is concerned. Most peers have great passion

Cons

Low pay. High expectations with certain promotions - meaning can be pretty pushy. Good sales, profit and people management sometimes not enough to earn better wages.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trust is getting better with employees, but you're sometimes a bit too keen to "work out of the business" employees that have been around a long time

I worked at Caribou Coffee part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good perks. Great team atmosphere. Good training system.

    Cons

Lots of effort put into their image and promos with little regard for their employees. Expect their employees to put in extra time and energy without getting anything in return.

Work-Life balance is anathema at Caribou. Talk the Talk, sure. But Walk the Talk? Absolutely not.

I have been working at Caribou Coffee full-time

    Pros

There are some great, smart, hard working people to work with.

    Cons

Low wages relative to the work load. No responsibility/authority relationship.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be transparent. Don't call a labor reset a 'New Store Strategy'. Stop manufacturing reasons to 'get people you don't want, out of your store' ( yes I've heard that ). Look at your 'real' priority list. Customers are NOT first. Employees are NOT second.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
