Great, inspiring people, but not most structured and professional

Current Employee - Brand Manager in Copenhagen (Denmark)

I have been working at Carlsberg full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Great people, fun, youthful environment. Very inspiring to work, as colleagues constantly come up with great ideas. Age and lack of experience is not an issue - your ideas and thoughts are listeded to. Lots of freedom to implement your projects, unless it is the key strategic brand.

Cons

Lack of professionalism - complete mess when it comes to information sharing. Employees are not encouraged to be structured and professional.
Top management wants to act as brand manager - too much control in areas, where it is not needed. Which results in lack of creativity in certain areas.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be brave when it comes to innovation. More consistency - processes change all the time, never really get implemented.

I have been working at Carlsberg

    Pros

Friendly office environment, people are nice to each other. Very international. Product you can be proud of. Lots of innovation, always something new. Good for women, family friendly.

    Cons

Administrative headaches. HR department is disorganized, payroll is also pretty bad. IT is outsourced and difficult to deal with. Strict efficiency program that affects everyone but the marketing department.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please also apply the efficiency program to the marketing department.
