Make Less, Do More

Assistant Store Manager (Current Employee)

ProsAll levels of management can bonus,
Company is very organized,
Great training program,
Opportunity for development

ConsTerrible payroll,
Upper management has no idea what it's like to work in the store,
Unrealistic goals for bonus,
Unrealistic expectations for store with payroll (shrink, sales, perfect presentation, etc.),
Registers are from stone age,
Poor pay compared to competitors,

Advice to Senior ManagementIf you want better results, you need to allow better payroll. Having one to two people in the store at a time can only do so much when there's shipment, recovery, sale sets, floor moves, reactionary merchandising, customers, paperwork, hiring, etc.

– I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
