Pros

Great work life balance. Some managers are very supportive of time off due to family obligations. The onsite amenities are better than most in Danbury. Full cafeteria, onsite health center, small mini market, nail technican, credit union and massage technician. It's in Danbury so it's adding to the economic growth in the city.

Cons

Promotions are few and far between. There is alot of turnover so the most seasoned employees bear the brunt of the work. The increases do not match up with the cost of living in this industry. Recognizing that the real estate industry is declining, however, when times were good the raises for the front line consultants were not. Some people are promoted without experience or advanced degrees which is a slap in the face for more qualified employees.

Advice to Management

Promote qualified managers/supervisors.

    Pros

Fully supportive of work/life balance and flexibility. Nice onsite amenities in the Danbury location (e.g, physician's assistant onsite, dry cleaners, exercise classes, nutritionist, massueuse, etc.). Some of the nicest people you will work with - people willing to roll up their sleeves and help out. I've worked in other companies and there is little to no backstabbing here that I've experienced in comparison to other companies for which I've worked.

    Cons

While the HQ office is large by Danbury standards (2nd largest employer in Danbury), if you are in a smaller support group, the promotion opportunities are more limited. The company is supportive of and encourages employees to look outside their departments for growth opportunities, but if you want to stay in your field of discipline in a smaller support area, you may need to look outside the company for promotional opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Continue to communicate with employees on business strategies, markets, company vision, etc.

    Cons

Incompetent senior management, nepotism, inability of Senior Management to understand the job their underlings were supposed to be doing

    Advice to Management

Spend a few days in your employees shoes
