I have been working at Cascadia Capital

Pros

Work life balance and low hours. This is not a Wall St. firm. The firm used to haev ambitions of becoming a power house; however, those goals are no longer in place - management lost money trying to do so and learned a good lesson the hard way. Great culture with some fun people.

Cons

Not steady, hard to get management to shoot you straight. Management has a long history of not living up to what is expected of them. You can always count on a bait and switch from the people at the top. If you are looking for stability and honesty then Cascadia may not be the best place.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be honest and transparent

    Cons

Hours, management out for itself and either selling the company or taking it public rather than rewarding employees who helped build the company

I have been working at Cascadia Capital full-time

    Pros

Management is approachable, goal oriented, visionary and passionate. The team, from junior to senior level, is intelligent, cohesive and process driven. Compensation and incentive structures are market rate. Expectations are clear and good work is recognized and rewarded. This firm is growing and riding a tide of incredible momentum, and the senior leadership is taking steps to scale, build culture and ensure long-term success.

    Cons

The nature of investment banking can mean demanding work and long hours.
