I worked at Cash Store full-time (less than a year)

Pros

You get paid well with plenty of hours and mandatory overtime. I had an amazing District manager until she was fired. Great short term employment that looks good on a resume for money handling and customer service. Not very difficult if you have thick skin.

Cons

The regional manager that I had was very fake. Behind the employees back she would make fun of everyone and to their face they would be super sweet. All you could do was watch because if she found out you said anything you would be fired. Its very tense not knowing when your last day would be as you watch your boss' boss laugh about firing people. This company is all about the money and cannot actually afford to keep you very long with how they pay. I was lucky enough to have a friend tell me how the company is before they hired me so I knew I would be fired eventually. I felt bad for the people that aren't used to that type of cut throat business.

    Pros

The pay is great but that is the best thing about it. They do have better hours than most retail businesses.

    Cons

The leadership is a disgrace and do not care about personal life whether you are married or a single mother.

    Pros

    The pay was good.

    Cons

Trying to understand the customers that have to use this company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Training should have more focus on how to deal with and understand customer documents to know when to turn away a possible bad customer/loan.
