    Pros

Get to work on interesting problems. If you work hard you are appreciated.

    Cons

Need to move fast in implementing solutions. Lot of meetings lately. Need to be more aggressive with release cycles of products.

Catalina was a great place to work despite a lack of leadership.

I worked at Catalina Marketing full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Catalina's lucrative compensation plan attracted key sales talent. The overall talent is above average and employees tend to stay 5 years or longer. The benefits were also very good.

    Cons

Poorly managed organization that focused too much energy on near-term results. Goals were unrealistic which helped to create an aggressive atmosphere.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Solicit feedback and ideas for improvement from subordinates. Management lacked the practical experience required to lead and were regarded as arrogant.
