Very disatisfied employees. Inconsistent management styles between upper and lower levels leading to this disatisfaction. Lack of positive feedback to employees from direct superiors. This all leads to poor patient care.

Advice to Senior Management

Value your longterm employees and allow them some input into decisions that affect them and patient care. Job shawdow to see how each area of hospital is run. Do not always rely on the integity of what you are told or how the numbers look. Find out first hand. Be more open with facts to all employees. Perhaps have training for the Supervisors that are promoted so they are confortable and know just what is expected of them.. CHW has the potential to be what it once was...the place everyone wanted to work. But it seems to be more difficult now that so many diiferent management styles from all the acquisitions of diffent hospitals has occurred. Micromanagement went out of style a long time ago. It breeds hostility and causes low moral and productivity.
