Think Very Highly of Themselves

Former Employee - Sales Associate
Former Employee - Sales Associate

I worked at Cato Fashions part-time (less than a year)

Pros

Easy work; just helping customers and putting out stock
The other employees were nice and easy to work with
Easy to get hired for a summer job because they were pretty desperate for associates

Cons

Boring; there are rarely any customers so most of the job is just standing around
Corporate is out of touch with what customers really want and what working in this store is actually like

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find out from hourly workers what customers tell them they actually want and try to keep expectations realistic

Come back and work in a store to get back in touch with how things are actually done. Also stay up to date with the changes that happens with the way the company runs the store
