    Pros

    Fun promotions and bonuses every month
    If you work hard, you'll get promoted quickly
    Learn to work the system, once you figure out the politics you're golden

    Cons

    Tons of micro management, the biggest problem you run into is that prospects 1) haven't heard of Cbeyond or 2) don't want to spend $400+ for phones, internet and e fax. It's very hard to compete against other providers that can supply double the bandwidth for half the price (and a decrease in reliability...but most prospects care more about price and speed than reliability)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Fire the reps that zero out instead of keeping them on for months at a time, and don't micro manage the reps that produce

    Pros

    - Great work environment, employees are great
    - Training consisted of not only sales skills, but also knowledge of product
    - Quality product and service lineup that is cost competitive comparing to similar products/services

    Cons

    - Cold calling all day, so be ready to walk a lot and drive a lot
    - Managers push quantity over quality
    - Pay structure does not equal other companies in the industry or even other resellers of Cbeyond
    - Employee turnover

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Make sure you hire the right people. There is a certain person who will fit the mold of a cold caller. Although management does a pretty good job of telling new hires that it is difficult when you first start.
