Pros

Great security, good benefits, excellent medical benefits, good wages

Cons

Lacks team environment, very hierarchical, little professional development, lacks solid strategic planning at the departmental level. Lock of group identity

Advice to Management

Give up the old paradigm of top down direction, build people in the organization, focus on cross-functional incentives, do not incentevise one group for cost, one for revenue and another for volume

    Pros

A few friendly people, decent cafeteria Some good perks, like for not using their parking Some great science is happening here

    Cons

They don't plan far enough in advance to accomodate their new positions Some of the benefits are not good - vacation and sick time are lumped together into one category There is a lot of snobbery and backstabbing going on in some departments, like a lab supervisor trying to take over a whole department.

    Advice to Management

Enforce thinking ahead so that positions are not fulfilled before the laboratory is actually ready for it.

    Pros

Great Benefits. Good pay depending on your shift. (night shift is better than morning shift.) Good Experience after just getting license. Nurse's from the Nursing Office were always pleasant and great to learn from.

    Cons

Management switched too many times. (I had 4 different floor Managers since I was hired in 2009 and left in 2012) Nursing Staff on your own floor (RN's) weren't very nice. Day Shift: A LOT of Work for Little Pay & Appreciation. Night Shift: Could NEVER find your nurse when you needed them. (always "on break" or hiding.) plus the CN4 never wanted to jump in to help. Wasn't a "TEAM" environment even though they preach it. Nurses don't like it when the CNA's do a better job then they do. (pt's notice and comment and the Nurses will Retaliate)

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your Hard working and Good employees. You lost one who was always willing to come in and work a shift, one pt's always loved, one who was a real team player and never just did the minimum to get by.... all because of some lie a nurse made up and management didn't investigate like they should have.
