Not a place for anyone without experience...no training.

I have been working at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Our Nurses provide the best care they can in spite of the all the demands put on them. Because we are made to think we are better than everyone else and we provide better care, we are justified in charging rates that are so much higher than everyone else.

    Cons

There is a lot of favoritism...certain doctors and departments get whatever they want at the expense of others areas that should be getting more resources. Also managers are unfair in their treatment of their staff and give certain ones preferential treatment, schedules and assignments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be as concerned about your employees and the way you treat them as you are as the results of the patient satisfaction scores. If employees feel they are truly valued, they will work even harder and patients will see and feel the results.
