Pros

Entrepreneurial spirit within company encouraged. Work life balance is promoted and management wants employees to be happy. Casual dress is awesome!

Cons

Can be unorganized and hectic since the nature of work is very cyclical.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize employee strengths and build positions around those. Use your employees to make them happy and make the company successful.

    I worked at Celergo full-time

    Pros

You have opportunities to move upward or laterally, and can gain many different experiences. If you are bilingual with English as a first or second language, you will have opportunities to use your language skills. You will work closely with clients and take responsibility for payroll across multiple countries, which can be complex and stimulating. Because recent employee turnover at Celergo is high, you can move from entry-level in team lead and supervisor positions fairly quickly. If you leave, you will find multi-country payroll experience is in demand. You can make friends for life.

    Cons

You may be moved into a position just because it needs filling, even if you are not the correct fit or ready for the challenge. Employees must be politically astute and enjoy playing hard-ball corporate politics. Systems and procedures are cumbersome. You will feel Celergo's growing pains acutely. If you want to offer your clients good service, you will work many hours. The pay is low when measured against expectations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Talk less and listen more; and not just to employees who tell you what you want to hear.
