I have been working at Celestica as an intern (more than an year)

Pros

Lots of practice in hands-on engineering work, lots of different projects to contribute to, smart and cheerful co-workers. There are plenty of opportunities to put in effort and receive official recognition.

Cons

Not hiring many full-time employees, so low chance of a job after graduation (for an intern). Public transit to building is very crowded at times.

I worked at Celestica full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    the staff there are friendly

    Cons

start offering jobs for people around early this year. People who have worked at their current company at that time resign because wanted to try the new opportunity Celestica offered. But after 2-3 month they start to retrenched people. MORE THAN 50++ staff were fired. Me myself included. We been fired because the company doesn't make profit like before. the worst thing is that they fired people who work hard for them like animals. We can't even say goodbye to our friend and been fired for less than 30 minutes and are escorted by security to get out of our office like criminals. This is what happened at Malaysia.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want to reduced man power. Management must start with VSS instead of retrenchment. Most people who make a living and have family who doesnt want to loose their job should have the opportunity to search for new job at least 1 month earlier instead of coming to the office and get fired for less than 30 minutes.
