I worked at Center for American Progress as an intern for less than a year

Pros

Motivated, intelligent and fun place to work. There are so many different departments working on so many fascinating and worthwhile projects. Famous and important guest speakers come into work all the time, so you are constantly learning and growing beyond your comfort level. And often throughout the year, CAP will host movie nights and political debate parties with free pizza, sandwiches, beer and soda. Also, your job is like a 10 minute walk to the White House.

Cons

Campus Progress and the rest of CAP are separated by nine stories... There's not a lot to complain about.

CAP has nice people and meaningful work, but the intern pay isn't enough to live on.

I worked at Center for American Progress as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

They assign you meaningful work and give you autonomy to pursue your own projects.

    Cons

The intern stipend is not enough to live on, which makes it difficult to live in the city.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

FInd funds to increase intern pay so it's easier to afford living close to the office.
