Pros

Meeting new people, different events, great co-workers

Cons

Higher management poor people skills, unprofessional ism in some areas

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respecting employees, don't downgrade or talk poorly about those of higher management or other co-workers in front of others. Employees that are respected up sale, motivate, & prove that over the top experience for the customer.

I have been working at Centerplate part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Friendly people, great time while working for the most part. Drama free and decent pay for what I'm doing. Growth opportunities i'm not so sure of but I am looking into them

    Cons

I feel as with a little more equipment we could have much more efficiency.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ask to see what your employee's think that they can do to better the company in happier employee's and events more productive, timely and can be done with better planning, this is all possible with very little investment on equipment.

I worked at Centerplate full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Chance for growth despite lack of education. Enjoyable co-workers throughout company.

    Cons

Hours are terribly long and late night. You have to play politics with the CORRECT people in order to advance in the company. Salary consistent throughout country, so accounts in NYC area make barely enough to survive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Know your staff better and spot those who stand-out and should be given promotions, rather then those who know how kiss-up better.
