I have been working at Centerplate

Pros

Heath insurance isn't to bad.

Cons

Unrealistic budgets....terrible hours, no work life balance, horrifically nasty senior management. Extreme lack of training and continued training for management. Terrible company

Advice to ManagementAdvice

When employees (especially managers) call HR to report senior management issues, do NOT brush it under the rug.

I have been working at Centerplate full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Some of my coworkers are cool
At least I have a job

    Cons

    Extreme favoritism
management treats us like kids and talks down to us and has threatened us in meetings
    No respect
    No privacy
    Very low morale

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The upper management in CT really needs to take a look at what is going on at the corporate office in Greenville, SC. They need to go in and talk to the employees one on one and not just go in and meet with management. They have no idea how many people hate working there and how many are looking for jobs elsewhere.

I worked at Centerplate part-time for less than a year

    Pros

A lot of people work for Centerplate; therefore, they are very flexible with your schedule. If you can not make it to the shift, all you have to do is call before hand.

    Cons

Centerplate treats employees like slaves. You work long hours for minimal pay. Its take you a long time just to get through security and check in. A lot of managers do not follow the rules. Enforce dress code for some but not all.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Treat team members with respect.
