Pros

Overall work environment is good. Once employed, opportunities to move to variuos sites, departments, are often done internally before being posted to the public.

Cons

Some sites are better than others in regards to workloads, levels of stress, personalities to cope with. Same with inner departments, sometimes can be stressful but mostly consistently content overall.

Advice to Management

Happier work environments yield more appreciative workers, higher work volumes and overall satisfaction. There is largely a lack of company wide appreciation activities, outings, special events, food, etc. Also in today's society, the old values of be here on time or your fired, are history. Flex time is really the only way to go. It allows people to not stress out if they are going to be 15 minutes late. Just require them to work during lunch, after their normal time off, require that their full time hours be met. It keeps employees happy and less likely to be as upset over lower wages when you give a simple perk like Flex time. The inclusion of 4-10hr days may not work for all departments, but in some, as long as workloads are not hurt, it's really nice to have.

    Pros

You are taught a lot of skills, yearly Christmas bonus, they try to work with your schedule, drug rep lunches, "most" doctor's are awesome, constant computer updating.

    Cons

It probably depends on which office you work for. My experience is being overworked and underpaid. It doesn't seem to matter if you have good work ethic/experience. You will notice co-worker's who don't know much about the medical field or don't have medical training get paid more. If a clerical employee who only has a high-school degree with NO knowledge of anything medical is getting paid more than a trained cma, there is something wrong. I noticed the medical assistant's workload is 10 times greater than other staff. Compensate them!

    Advice to Management

Determine pay by experience/skill. Be more fair and take into consideration how the employee is representing the office, and listen to the patient comments. They notice who is valuable to the practice. Get rid of office managers that get alot of employee/patient complaints. It is hard to work in a office when the person running it can't get along with the employee's. Be fair.

  2. Run far away!

    Pros

This company is really growing and job stability.

    Cons

TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT!! They have complete morons managing and it's a wonder COPC is still open. If it weren't for all of the hard-working employees, the managers would have run this company straight into the ground.

    Advice to Management

Leave managing to people who know how to manage. Just because you are very skilled and knowledgeable about the field does NOT mean you know to manage. Learn how to listen to employees. And also, for all the departments you are head of, you should probably be proactive and learn what they do. All of you make rules and put things in place that would make our job impossible when you were thinking you were helping.
