Other Employee Reviews for Central Piedmont Community College

  1. Varies from department to department. Some dead weight at the college and lots of bureaucracy, but overall good place

    Pros

lots of time off as a staff member management in my department is very sensitive to personal life job stability

    Cons

--little to no fitness centers or emphasis on employee health (i don't count the 1 mile walking routes which are tedious) --too many employees are brown-nosers, which is extremely annoying --working with some students can be frustrating at times --work can be repetitive --each campus can feel fragmented from the rest of the college. Hard to communicate or coordinate campus-wide projects

    Advice to Management

quit over-thinking and having 3 hours meetings about every little change at the college.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Central Piedmont Community College full-time

    Pros

It was rewarding working in higher education and helping people make a better life for themselves. The atmosphere allowed for hard work while balancing family life. People were nice and truly cared about the mission of the organization.

    Cons

Politics are pretty heavy and it is hard to get some things done with such a large organization.
