I worked at CenturyLink full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

Well funded, while moves slowly - is making innovative steps.

Cons

In spite of their slogans, they still tend to want to throw cheap labor at a problem rather than systems investment. Upward mobility eventually leads to Monroe, LA - not a place I'd want to live.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clearly articulate vision and strategy, embrace Agile / Lean management principles, which will drive empowerment of the rank and file.

    Pros

nothing there is no pros to working here.

    Cons

you never get a raise, even though they tell you every month "maybe next month"
They only pay double during holidays if you work over you shift
The management is a joke, and the company sucks
you don't get paid enough for the people you have to deal with.
management always tells you to take the blame for everything but they never take blame for having "premante bandwidth exhausts"
You have to train every day over something new
if you miss a day for any reason they will make you work on your weekend and not tell you they scheduled you.
you can go an 8+ hours shift and never get a break
seriously management is a JOKE! ( i've met people who have worked here for over 4 years and never got a raise)

I have been working at CenturyLink

    Pros

Good pay with pretty decent benefits and if you are a full time employee you earn three weeks paid vacation your first year. Alot of room for advancement,

    Cons

Work at a computer the entire shift while having to process orders and track your work to ensure that you meet monthly service level goals,
