I have been working at CenturyLink full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

payday. My boss is far away so he does not get on my nerves. They need better work from connection tools. the IBM contract to manage OS and servers and to restrict root access is bordering on insanity, falls under the more money than brains club membership.

Cons

Moving the HIGH TECH IT center to Monroe, LA ru kidding ?

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit mailing advertisements to people who already bought the service. It makes the company look silly and wastes everyones time and money and gas and electricity.

I have been working at CenturyLink full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The moneys ok. Use to get more for benefits but those cost more too. It was good here when it was Embarq. Now not so much.

    Cons

Stuff changes to much. Techs get written up when managers sit around all day talking at each others desks. They leave saying there sick then put picks on FaceBook that night hanging out at bars then write us up for coming back late from break. Tier 1 don't ever help we complain about it but nothing gets done.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at what goes on down here. See what managers get away with. Listen to us and do the things we ask for dont waste money giving us blankets.

Focus on the post-sales as much as the pre-sales.
