Pros

Good people Benifits from Legacy USWEST and Qwest

Cons

Upper Management is not trustworthy Lack of communicated direction for the company Not open to opinions or advice from ground level employees. Process gets in the way of success 1.5% raise is given to high performers Management offers promotions in title, duty, and a promise but never given compensation

Advice to Management

It shouldn't take 2 years to fix a problem Understand the Legacy companies purchased are each regulated differently and it is NOT one company. What type of company is this? Broandband provider? Or Rural community?

    I have been working at CenturyLink full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Fair pay with 401k and health benefits and overtime opportunities. Good vacation time each year. 1st and 2nd line managers were great.

    Cons

    Continually reducing healthcare benefits and reducing 401k benefits. Upper management and company could care less about employees. Company only wants to contract work out. There is no feeling of beeing secure in your job no matter how well you work.

    Advice to Management

    Act like you want or like having employees that do good work for you.

    Pros

    Even though they cut some benefits with the last contract, still good benefits, and pay.

    Cons

    They micro manage everything which ends up getting nothing done. They have respect as one of the principles of the company. Unfortunately the respect only goes up the chain, it does not flow down to the workers.

    Advice to Management

    stop micro managing, let your onsite managers make decisions. Stop being so adversarial.
