Pros

Large, vey rapidly growing company.
Accurate performance reviews and compensation increases based on review.
Well organized and easy interview process.
Good orientation and training program.
Cafeteria food is decent in all campuses but any decent restaurant is at least 20 minutes away.
Decent fitness centers available.
This company is highly profitable and it shows.
Hiring lots of new young people.
Will most likely be using Java, but maybe C++ or other language.

Cons

Health insurance plan has $1400 deductible, some of which you can earn back by completing certain health improvement tasks.
45 to 50 hour work weeks, but not as bad as some previous reviews have suggested.
Will expect to you have knowledge that is not normally taught in school.
Try to figure out which campus you'll be working at or you may have a long commute. Overland park is a good place to live if you're at innovations. Six-month lease probably better than 12 month.
Don't think about living in KC without a car. Bike paths or public transportation are non-existant.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Relocation reimbursement is too low for people moving in from other states. This company does not seem to have an in-house QA deparment and relies too much on engineers not to introduce bugs, although this is just a perception and may not be fact.

I have been working at Cerner full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Phone interview was a week or so later, covering mostly behavioral questions (e.g. describe a time when you worked on a project and one member wasn't pulling their weight). After passing the phone interview, I visited Cerner's Innovations campus in KC for their Experience Cerner Day in December, which included two interviews, which both were mostly technical questions (writing some code, understanding modularity of code, etc).

    Cons

The Experience Cerner Day was about learning more about the internship program and what Cerner did, meeting employees, and getting a free lunch in their cafe. I was reimbursed for some travel expenses (live 3 hours away). I received a phone call later that month confirming my hiring, and had to fill in a few forms along
