Cerner Software Engineer in Kansas City, MO:   (Current Employee)

Pros

There is a lot of vision and energy at this company. They really care about improving health care. There are a lot of opportunites to move laterally. it's fast pace and a good place to get started.

Cons

There is a fourty eight hour a week minimum for the development organization. Most people that are successful work more than that. It's not hard to work a lot of hours short term, but it takes a lot out of you to do it for extended periods. Then when things go wrong or run late, you are really working all the time. It can be hard to balance your home and personal life.

Advice to Senior Management

I wish them the best of luck.
