Great place to start and develop knowledge of healthcare IT. Cerner has a great mission and largely succeeds in helping healthcare organizations provide better care.
Cons
Raises once hired are non-existent. Increases in responsibility are not matched by pay. Your future at Cerner is based on who you know. Leadership from top down sends a terrible message to managers and employees. Purge of non-KC employees has driven-off a lot of good people.
Advice to Senior Management
Neal, making Cerner a Kansas City-only employer is driving the company to mediocrity. Give it up and start over with leaders who are hired for their abilities.
