Pros

Cerner is a great place to start a career, they provide a ton of experiences to young grads and are very laid back. Young employees, almost all straight out of college.

Cons

Once you cross a year or two , the learning really slows and you end up just "punching the clock." There is a very limited number healthcare experts at Cerner, mainly just individuals that grew up through Cerner and don't understand the healthcare system.

Advice to Management

Hire more experienced associates to work with all the new grads.

    Pros

Stable career, okay pay, onsite facilities, get to work with some very talented people.

    Cons

Too many hours, I felt like i was at work 24/7. Promotions without a pay increase until reviews come around. Lack of vision by upper management. Teams seemed to be re-organized about once a year. 20 solutions to do one task rather than one excellent solution. Expect to work 60+ hours a week. Internal workflows for service requests are horrendous.

    Advice to Management

Better quality of life for your employees, better long term vision for upper management, better compensation.
