I have been working at Cerner full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    - good pay for Kansas city area.
    - innovations campus is a nice place to work.
    - Work is good if you are lucky to get a nice team.

    Cons

    - Risk of being fired.
    - If you are hired as a Software Engineer, you risk being fired from Devcenter or sent to Support. Join Only if you know which team you are going into.
    - Ask if you have to go through Devcenter. If yes then you are going to have a very unpleasant experience.
    - Senior management is ignorant/ turn a blind eye to decisions made by mid level management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Dont make fake promises about job to new employees.
    - Give new employees an opportunity to prove themselves.
    - Encourage teams to hire employees directly and not to make Engineers go through Devcenter and then fire them.
