I worked at Charter Communications full-time for more than a year

Pros

i have nothing good to say

Cons

no direction, always has new plans and no details. promotes and demotes in the same year cannot count on a steady wage. Had a decent wage and commission in billing get put into sales finally get the good commissions going there as well. then demoted back to billing and lower wage than when i started with the company and no commission.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

pull head out of rear.

    Great Training
    Commission + Base Pay
    Good Health Care
    Activities during different seasons.
    HBO Go/ Max Go

    Cons

    Very large queues (People calling in 400+ everyday)
    Shift Bid
    PTO system
    Sale! Sale! Sale! on every call.
    Too many angry customers...
    Basically a sale job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be truthful to new employees, once in training we were told that this was NOT a sales job, once I made it to the call center, it quickly changed to Sales Advisor. This company is not making money, so if your looking to work for Charter do not set foot into a call center.

    Pros

    Free cable and internet, discounted pay per view.

    Cons

    Middle and upper management have no clue as to how to run a company. They have incredible employees at their fingertips and chose to ignore them. Its always what benefits the customer and never the employee. They are hemorrhaging excellent employees and do not care. If you are not part of the "good ole boys club" then count yourself out for anything. Good/excellent ideas go unnoticed. Charter has a do as your told mentality and when questions are asked the only repsonse you get is, "it is what it is".

    Open your eyes. Happy employees make happy customers, i.e. Google, Apple.
