Pros

Great Pay. Great coworkers. Rough students.

Cons

Micromanaged. Lack of leadership. Payroll got VERY messed up multiple times (some teachers were getting paid 2/3rds of their contract)

Advice to Management

Don't do turn around schools without a solid discipline plan

    Pros

Parents are eager to send their kids to schools with "pretty" buildings.

    Cons

Devaluing of teachers, for profit management

    Advice to Management

Show your respect for education by valuing educators-not overworking and underpaying them. Teachers are professionals who may not have entered the profession for the "money"-but have spent many years (and $) preparing for the job.. They need to be able to afford among other things, housing, health care, transportation, short term savings, retirement, food and student loan debt! If you can't pay them what they are worth, then don't work them all day/night because many will need to take on part-time jobs in order to make ends meet. One last word, teachers are "smart" enough to know that Management companies are in it for the "money' and don't have a clue or concern about what it REALLY takes to be a great teacher.
